Born in Moab and raised to wander, I feel incredibly fortunate to have always been inspired by the fierce beauty of the wild Southwest desert. Deeply intrigued by the idea of form following function, I strive to create artful tools for artful living.
I gather inspiration from exposed layers of desert geology, the harmony of ancient architectural ratios, and the spiraling of sacred geometry mirrored in native flora’s rotational patterns. My work is a cross-pollination of ceramics, painting, printmaking, and digital illustration.
There is a delicate tension between creation and inspiration. I enjoy settling into that space to tap into a meditative flow that allows me to decorate, carve, or paint the canvas at hand.
Creating 6 to 8 bodies of work each year, each series offers the opportunity to hone my craft while pushing new boundaries. I currently work out of my studio in the heart of Moab, balancing the dance between motherhood and my creative practice.
